On October 28, 2017, attorney Charles Tony Piccuta competed in an Olympic distance triathlon in Patagonia, Arizona. Patagonia is located in Southern Arizona southeast of Tucson and approximately 30 miles from the border of Mexico. The race took place in Patagonia Lake State Park and the swim leg was in Patagonia Lake. The race has been called the toughest triathlon in Arizona. The race is unique because of the small number of competitors. This year, the race only had 31 male participants in the Olympic distance category. Last week, attorney Charles Tony Piccuta was in San Jose, California taking the video deposition of concussion expert Dr. Robert Nishime, MD. Dr. Nishime is a team physician for USA Judo, UFC, American Kick-Boxing Academy and San Jose State University Athletics. Dr. Nishime specializes in the treatment of athletes and conducts clinical studies on concussions and concussion recoveries in athletes. Piccuta was taking the deposition of Dr. Nishime for presentation by video in an upcoming jury trial. On October 15, 2017, the Piccuta law Group expanded its Arizona office moving to a new location in Scottsdale. The new location is in the Johnson Bank Building at the corner of Pima Road and Pinnacle Peak Road.
